A Disturbingly Brilliant Movie A Place in the Sun was disturbing. How's that for blunt? I mean, it was a great movie but man - it's squirm worthy, rife with so many tragic themes.
The Night of the Hunter is one of the creepiest movies I've seen. I'd say it's at least on par with DeNiro's Cape Fear . Robert Mitchum is insanely creepy and evil in this movie, and Charles Laughton's vision of what this movie should look and sound like is downright masterful.
